I am currently a postdoctoral research associate in the laboratories of Dr. Alison Bell and Dr. Eva Fischer in the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Behavior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Using threespined sticklebacks (Gasterosteus aculeatus) as a study system, my current research focuses on understanding how parents manage ecologically relevant trade-offs.
I was formerly a postdoctoral associate lecturer in the Biology Department of Boston University, after completing my PhD in 2020 in the laboratory of Dr. Peter Buston. My PhD research focused on understanding the social and ecological factors that influence individual variation in parenting strategies using the clown anemonefish (Amphiprion percula).
